Testify

FIRST I just want to emphasize that All the students that have SUCCEEDED here made it ON THEIR OWN EFFORTS AND HARDWORK. Study Music Project was only merely a supplementary tool that they have chosen to use in reaching their goals. In other words, IF YOU DON’T STUDY, LISTENING TO THIS MUSIC AIN’T GONNA GET YOU ANY WHERE CLOSER TO WHERE YOU HAVE TO BE.

With that said, I made a testimonial page for a couple reaons:

1. To demonstrate that many students have found this music beneficial. I’m not trying to say Study Music Project for everyone, but it HAS worked for some people. Here are some of their stories.

2. To recognize some of these people’s accomplishments. I have read some comments where people have gone from D students to A students, and they I think they deserve some recognition for their diligence.

3. To inspire YOU to believe in yourself. They made it. So can you. In reading these testimonies, I hope you, the reader, can find inspiration in your own goals from these people that have accomplished their set tasks.

I remembered everything for my french exam while i studied for it with this music onI GOT 89%I’VE NEVER GOTTEN SO HIGH ON AN EXAM THANK YOU FOR THIS SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for this great chill music. It got me through five chapters of medical terminology. Im going to recommend this to all my EMT buds that are training to help save lives. May sound weird but it reminds me of some nice cut scenes from the final fantasy collection. keep it up and best wishes on the next project.

Thank you so much Dennis Kuo… my teachers have been putting a ton of homework on me and the rest of the students for these last few days of school and its really frustrating. When I listen to your music, I can finally concentrate and get things done easy and fast! :) Once again, thank you SO MUCH.
Much Love,
Ryan.

ive been listening to the play list everday for the past 2 weeks because of my exams.it reminds me of the CAT scan i once had and all the tests of sounds that they did to see the full function of my brain. Your music does that it taps into different parts of the brain which allows it to distract its self but then the change in beat or instrument brings it back to focus. So the constant change allows the brain to work hard but also to take its brakes in between . Lol POINT is its great

  • You do not know how grateful I am for this music! My school has been giving us so much homework and schoolwork now that there is seven weeks left of school. I’m new, so I’m not used to the amount of work we get, so I’m stressing out and losing sleep again. This is relaxing me so much! Thanks 😀

I think i owe you a great thank you! Your music helped me trough some rough moments where i just couldn’t concentrate. I finished up 3 essay’s thanks to the playlist!

This music is so amazing^.^ I personally love Neptune Illusion and Peace in Belize. I can tell when im studying or doing homework, my mind is very active yet relaxed. Thats what I love about the music here. The artwork is also very amazing. I love how both the music and artwork intertwine to create study music. Thank you so much!!!^.^

This was really effective. REALLY EFFECTIVE. I was trying to get my summer homework done today but never had the motivation and kept procrastinating. All your music vids helped me concentrate and get my work done. Thanks!

Your music is the reason I can get through medical school. Keep up the great work and I can see that I am not the only one to love this music.

    Hey Dennis,

Your music really is something special. Ever since stumbling upon your Youtube late in 2010, I’ve found all of your tunes to be great to listen to both for relaxation and for studying. The upbeat nature of songs like Neo Gardens, Blue Deja Vu, and Neptune Illusion also helps me keep my spirits up when my endurance has long burnt out.

It’s almost been a year since I found your music, and I must credit it for helping me ace O-Chem, as well as tackle my MCAT, for which I’ll be getting my score back in a week. Consider me a fan and outspoken advocate.

    Cheers to you,
    Tim

I’m never the type to study.
I’m always the procrastinator and gamer.
However I found this by accident on youtube hours ago.
Now I’m still focused on my Mathematics revision,
while on the web, of course. 😛

I found your music and it’s perfect for studying – not distracting and gives me the background noise I need to concentrate. Oh and as a plus, I am a total insomniac and the Autumn song is super soothing :) sends me right to sleep!

Thank you for posting this amazing music. It inspires me to work harder on my work and helps me concentrate (unlike music with singing. That just distracts me.)Thanks. Because of you I was able to write a physics paper last minute and do a good job. I will definitely listen to music when I study and/or do homework. Thanks again!

I just found this yesterday! And I have been listening to your playlist ever since. IT MADE ME STAY FOCUS! I have never stayed focus with music, I tried classical music and white noises from youtube, none of which worked, but YOUR MUSIC DID! In my last year of college, I will play this whenever I have to study. I just wished I had found it sooner, hopefully, more students will stumbled upon this. THANK YOU!

This music helped me relax without feeling tired and keep my mind focused on my school! I don’t think I can study without this anymore!!! It works 100%. Please use it! Buy it on iTunes and support Dennis Kuo!!!

This music is great. I was sitting in my room thinking about what I could to to give myself the concentration that I needed to study for a science test the next day. This was the last test of the semester and I had a C+ in the class. If I did well on the test it would bring me up to a B, which is what I needed to show my parents. Anyways I listened to all of the study songs at a low volume while I studied for 2 hours and I retained mostly all of the information and I had a lot of concentration. Thanks Study Music

Denis Kuo, you are a godsend —and your work is absolutely brilliant. I’ve always had great difficulty with focus and memory recall. I also have chronic migraines that multiply those problems. But ever since my brother showed me your Study Music Project, your music has helped in those departments phenomenally. Just to give you an idea of how much: I was able to raise my GPA from a 2.5 all the way to a 3.0 in only ONE semester. (That’s using a 4-point grade system; I don’t know what you use down in the states, but that’s HUGE).
I should also point out that I had to have scored above 90% on every final that semester to get that grade boost since I went into all the finals with about a C+ average.
You just saved my academic life, and very likely all my career aspirations. THANK YOU.
I also heard about your friend. I’m going to look into ways to help. Not sure how much I can do since this is a shout out from Canada, but I figure it’s the least I can do for how much your work has helped me.
I wish you all the best,
    -L

Leanna, thank you so much for your response. This is one of the best messages and feedback I’ve ever received for my music and I am so grateful for it. I am very happy you found it so useful, and just knowing that has seriously made my day.

Thank you also for your willingness to help my friend Janet! I don’t know too much about Bone marrow drives outside of US, but any support is great! there may be more information on http://www.helpingjanet.com

Thank you once again for your feedback. I am truly moved, and you have inspired me to create more music. I hope the Study Music Project will continue to be a companion in your studies and pursuits in the future!

      All the best,
      Dennis Kuo

Dennis. Your music has helped to save my academic career. I’m in my second semester of PA school and I’ve had a really hard time buckling down since we came back from winter break. In an act of desperation, I deactivated my Facebook to cut down on distractions, and in the aimless internet browsing following that, I found your YouTube account and website.

This is going to be cheesy. But when I put on your playlist, I feel like I can study gracefully – like I’m in a movie and this is a montage of someone hard at work. It really helps me to get lost in what I’m studying. Whether it is legitimately helping my brain form new synapses, or whether it just makes me feel good – IT WORKS. I appreciate that you’ve shared your music with all of us and you have given many a lifeline to hold on to when studying is at its most difficult.

I wish you luck in your career in medicine! And I hope you continue to make your music – I know those spare moments are hard to find. Thank you so much! :)

I would just like to say thank you. I found this music just recently but I am already seeing my grades increase. I am 14 and when I grow up I plan to be etiher a lawyer or an anethesisit. I may change over the years but the one thing that will stay the same will be that I wills always carry this music with me. IT not only helps me study but also helps me relax and get over bad situations. Thank you Denis Kuo, thank you.

    Sincerly,
    Me 😀

    Hi Dennis,
Would like you to know that you are so very appreciated and such an inspiration to my kindergarten kids and I…thank you so much.I play your music to my class of 5 year olds going to 6 every afternoon before I start teaching the enrichment class to clear and refresh their tired and or overly active minds. It always helps, even calming the active wiggly kids.
My children would like you to know that you will make a great doctor(some want to be like you) and they hope that Janet, your friend will get well soon.(Btw,I teach different groups of nearly 20 children every weekday afternoon including my own morning class of 20).There are several favourites,Etoile Filante(top hit), Clarity,Neptune Illusion, Once upon a time, and so many more.Sometimes when the kids get too demanding and everyone wants their choice, I’ll play my favourite, Midnight Coffee!Thank you for sharing a part of yourself with us

  14. Thank You! Thank You!

Thank you so much for creating your wonderful pieces of music. I finally am able to sit down and focus enough to work on my studies, and I now have, for the first time, whether low or high, A’s in all of my classes. Besides that your music is beautiful and I often listen to it, not always to study, but because I love it so much. It takes my mind off of my troubles and makes me feel good inside.

Just before writing this, I found out about your sick friend. I would love to help, but I’m too young to register as a bone marrow donor…I hope your friend is able to find the perfect match. :)

First of all thank you…I never thought id find music that would relax me and allow me to focus. I have a thing for piano, but i must say not all piano songs give you the ability to focus. My 2 favorite pieces are “almost remember” and “music box”, although i use them for studying, sleeping, they have a nostalgic/hopeful melody which keeps me moving. Is it possible for you to provide me with the musical sheet for these two songs?? id love to try to play it on the piano,im just a beginner, but im so looking forward to learning how to play them :D…

Best of luck on your exams..

    thanks again

Hey, I just really wanted to say a big THANK YOU to the creators of this study music project- there’s this annoying piece of work that has been nagging at me to complete for awhile now, and if not for your playlist, I don’t think I would ever have gotten round to finishing it. I was on youtube and wondering if there was anything that could help me, and bless the heavens, I found your page! I completed my work in one entire sitting, by the way, and I found the music oddly compelling and soothing whilst doing it. Please keep it up and know that there are tons of people out there who are loving what you do!

I never thought this would work but it did. I was able to finish both my chemistry lab and AP language and composition essay within 3 hours! That is HUGE. Normally it would take me 5 hours. I’m pretty convinced that having this music playing in the background for me increased my concentration. I’m going to listen to it everytime I’m doing schoolwork online from now on. :) So helpful!

This music has helped me so much. I used to be an all A student, but ever since I started junior year, I had dropped to B’s in almost all of my classes, and even as low as a D in AP Chem. I was in a really bad slump, and almost couldn’t pull through. My parents yelled at me to pull up my grades, but it almost seemed to make it worse. I was really inspired after listening to SMP, and I could really focus on my worst classes while listening to a few of my favorite songs, like Neo Garden. Now I’m back to being in the A range. Thank you so much!

I am a med student, so I have to read A LOT and it’s sometimes really overwhelming, but after have found this music I can memorize more information and the quality of my studying time has improved A LOT! This music has something different I don’t know what it is but it makes me feel so sensitive sometimes. Anyway, I can’t be more happy with this music!!!!

    Hi Dennis,

I am a student in school currently doing a music project, which requires me to research music psychology and then use that information to write a piano piece for a work/study environment. I would love the chance to ask you a few questions concerning my project. If you do have the time, please let me know at this email address: kathy.lau@dc.edu.hk

I finished Linear Algebra in college with a 70% even. I still think to this day it was the Study Music Project that gave me the 1% to pass the class. Every time I play that soundtrack I remember studying during those late nights.

I’ve never before felt compelled to comment on anything random I found on the internet. I just found the Study Music Project through youtube searching, and found this actual website through there. All the mixes have the perfect blend of relaxation, but not enough to put you to sleep or make you tired – in fact, it does just the opposite. There’s something about the back beats and subtle mix/combination of sounds and flow of the mixes & timing that allows for focusing, clearing thoughts, relaxing, and enticing you to stay put in what you’re trying to accomplish – whether it’s because of the pleasant sound or because the music itself penetrates deeply into the brain, allowing for a positive and open mood, I’m not sure. Either way, it is obviously great for learning, studying, memorizing, or whatever the case may be. I will show this to everyone who needs some peaceful music direction. Not just for studying! Anything requiring mental energy – cooking, meditation, just hanging out and talking openly, pleasure reading, etc.
