Almost Remember

Title: Almost Remember
Style: Piano
Mood: Introspective, nostalgic

“Left Brain” Background:

The melody of “Almost Remember” was written by me in 2006, the summer I first tried to study for the MCAT. Unfortunately for me, my morale was utterly destroyed by the results of some of my practice scores. I was so depressed for awhile that I began to question my calling into the medical field at all. As a result, I explored the musical side of me. At that time, I set a goal of writing one song a day. It was a goal I set for myself to determine whether I would be fit for the music business of songwriting. This whole effort lasted for 2 weeks. Of all the songs that I’ve written in those two weeks, “Almost Remember” was probably the best one that came out of my efforts, and to this day I still consider it one of my best works.

“Right Brain” Interpretation:

My friend John Su, who is also an incredible artist, helped me come up with the name for this song. In retrospect, I believed that this title was very fitting for this piece. I was kind of in a career soul search when writing this song, trying to explore, reminisce, expand, and remember all at the same time. But it’s impossible to remember something that’s never happened before. But I almost remembered.

Well hope you all enjoy.

  • This is a beautiful piece of music. I wish you the best as you continue this project!

  • best wishes on your continues work!

as many musicians imagine to achieve high harmony levels by smothering their tunes or by upgrading their tunes along with their instruments at a momentum periodicity. but then they still can’t reach the desired level. with all of that complexity.

amazingly, your music is walking to path of simplicity, and without pre-calculations it achieved highest possible levels of harmony.

the proof to my last recall, is how the listener never gets bored of it, and it helps one to release anger, thinks about emotions, gather ideas, focus work.

  • hey I love this piece. I have played piano for ten years and I am quite good. I was wondering if their is any possible way I could have the piece to play for myself at home and school. I am a young musician ending high school and I would truly like to share this piece to my teachers and perhaps play it for them. This piece is truly inspiring.

  • I love it! ITs kind of good for the soul. hehhe continue what you are doing. Youll find an answer. THanks for sharing your music to us. :p
